OILFIELD-MONITOR APPLICATION

Device Management

Each Gateway comes with a unique ID that is used to register the Gateway to an account. After being registered and connected, the Gateway configuration is done through the platform (web-browser).

The user configures communication with devices in the field, defines variables, checks Gateway status, diagnose and resolve issues.

If there are assets of the same type to be connected to a platform (e.g. ESP well, SRP well, etc.), template configurations and screens can be used to shorten start-up time.

User Administration

After registering an account at the platform, the user can create any number of roles with appropriate privileges to be used within the application (e.g. administrator, supervisor, operator, guest, etc.).

An unlimited number of persons can be assigned to any of the roles, with appropriate privileges such as access, control, alarm reset and viewing rights.

Each of the persons has their own unique usernames and passwords, for record of all activities and events on the platform.

Maps

Google Maps are supported with asset pins dynamization, including faceplates for live data shown directly on a map.

Asset position on a map can be either assigned manually or can be read directly from the gateway (if the client choses to use the GPS feature of the Gateway).

Creating logical groupings of assets is easily possible, with a tree view feature (e.g. groups of assets belonging to the same oilfield, or connected those connected to the same gathering facilities, etc.).

Asset Screens

Asset screens and dashboards are fully customizable by the user without any programming required. Live data from the equipment is shown on the screens.

A rich library of components is available, including the most common symbols. Users can also create their own symbols, components, faceplates, etc.

As the editor supports HTML5, CSS3 and SVG, users can also import their own images to create personalized and extraordinary visualization.

Alarms & Notifications

Alarms can be created for each variable, external or internal, when reaching predefined values designated by the user for high or low alarm conditions.

Timestamps are assigned for historical record. Time of activation, time of termination, time of confirmation and a record of which user performed confirmation are recorded.

An advanced email notification system is fully configurable to send key notifications in real-time to stakeholders.

Events

Events are also recorded by the platform with a timestamp for historical accuracy and are available for variables and for user actions.

As with all other time-stamped records on the platform, events can be searched, sorted, filtered and exported for further analysis.

Trends

Each variable logged on the platform, internal or external, can be shown on the trends. Trends can be multi-axis, multi-variable, fully customizable.

For quick reports, users can select a period to be shown on the trend, zoom-in/zoom-out, and take a snapshot of the trend, or attach a comment field to trend.

Logs

Each logged variable on the platform is stored with its timestamp in a database, and the list of logs can be tracked in real-time.

As with all time-stamped record in the platform, logs can be searched, sorted, filtered and exported for further analysis.

IIoT GATEWAYS / EDGE DEVICES

The inVIEW IIoT Gateway/Edge device is the connection point for the field equipment to the Cloud, using 3G/4G networks.

The inVIEW IIoT Gateway/Edge device is provided to the user as an integral part of the service. These devices are connected to a PLC or similar in the field using standard industrial ports, quickly and simply connecting the clients assets to the Cloud. Once the inVIEW IIoT Gateways/Edge devices are installed and connected, all subsequent configuration is done remotely via a web-browser.

The inVIEW IIoT Gateways/Edge devices are of robust industrial design, and come with a variety of connectivity options (RS232/485, Ethernet) and supported communication protocols for the field equipment (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, Ethernet IP, Siemens S7, etc.) These devices act as a bidirectional connection point, both to push real-time data from the field equipment to the Cloud server and to push commands and parameters from the Cloud to the field equipment.

In case there is an interruption to communication (i.e. loss of 3G/4G network coverage), the inVIEW IIoT Gateways/Edge devices store up to 7 days of data. This data is synchronized automatically with the Cloud database as soon as the communication is re-established.
